Tax Manager / Tax Assistant Manager

Job Overview

We are assisting an established professional services firm in expanding their Tax Team in Cyprus.

The Tax Manager / Tax Assistant Manager will be responsible for reviewing tax compliance work across a diverse client portfolio, identifying tax opportunities and risks, handling tax enquiries and investigations, and preparing transfer pricing studies. This role suits a detail-oriented and strategic tax professional who enjoys providing advisory services and representing clients during tax examinations.

The position offers flexible working hours, Friday afternoons off throughout the year, and work-from-home options, within a professional yet friendly environment.

Responsibilities

• Review tax compliance work for a range of local and international clients.
• Identify direct tax opportunities and risks within client portfolios.
• Manage tax enquiries and investigations and represent clients before tax authorities.
• Prepare and review transfer pricing documentation and DAC-6 reports.
• Provide strategic tax advisory services to clients across multiple industries.
• Monitor updates in Cyprus and EU tax legislation and ensure compliance.
• Supervise and support junior team members in their professional development.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure coordinated client service delivery.

Requirements

• University degree in Law, Taxation, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• ACA or ACCA qualification required.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in a tax practice within an audit, consultancy, or advisory firm.
• Excellent knowledge of Cyprus Tax Law.
• Familiarity with EU tax directives and international tax developments.
• Experience in Transfer Pricing studies and DAC-6 reporting.
• Excellent command of Greek and English, both written and spoken.
• IT literate with strong analytical and reporting skills.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills.

Good to Have

• ADIT or similar professional qualification.
• VAT knowledge.
