Our client is one of the leading construction companies in Cyprus, with projects in every district and emirate.
We are seeking an organized and methodical Civil Engineer or Quantity Surveyor to join the Purchasing & Procurement Department, supporting the procurement of materials, subcontractors, and services for construction projects. The role involves close collaboration with construction sites, engineers, and quantity surveyors, ensuring timely execution of procurement processes, comparative evaluation of offers, and strict adherence to internal procedures.
Core responsibilities
Collecting project requirements and preparing and issuing Requests for Quotations (RFQs) to approved suppliers and subcontractors.
Preparing, maintaining, and updating comparison tables for the evaluation of offers.
Maintaining an up-to-date supplier database.
Collecting material data (specifications, samples, technical information, etc.) for the preparation of material submissions for approval.
Essential Skills
Degree in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).
Good understanding of modern construction methods and site practices used in building projects.
Excellent command of Greek and good knowledge of English for communication with suppliers and subcontractors.
Strong communication and negotiation skills, attention to detail, and adherence to procedures.
