Audit and Tax Manager

Job Overview

We are assisting an international professional services firm with 21 offices across South East Europe, the Middle East, and the Baltics in expanding their Corporate Accounting Department in Nicosia.
The Audit & Tax Manager will lead the Corporate Accounting Department, oversee the preparation and review of financial statements, manage client deliverables, and support the professional development of team members. This is a leadership role ideal for a proactive, people-oriented professional who enjoys driving process improvements and maintaining strong client relationships.
The position offers hybrid working (1 day work from home per week) and Friday afternoons off, along with opportunities for mobility and secondment across 21 international offices.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Corporate Accounting Department.
• Prepare, review, and finalize financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
• Oversee tax compliance processes, including filing tax returns and responding to tax audits.
• Manage client portfolios and ensure timely delivery of services.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of accounting professionals.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and quality.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders.

Requirements

• ACCA qualification required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in accounting and tax management.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and tax compliance.
• Fluency in English and Greek (both written and spoken).
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Office.
• Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Good to Have

• Experience with Cycom or Caseware software.
• Prior experience in an international or multicultural environment.
