Application Support Officer NEW

Job Overview

SMO Careers is hiring on behalf of a client for an Application Support Officer to join their team across Cyprus.

This role focuses on providing day-to-day on-site application support at the client’s premises, assisting users with system processes, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring the smooth operation of the application environment. The successful candidate will work closely with users and internal teams to deliver effective support and maintain strong client relationships.

We are hiring for 7 positions across Cyprus: 3 in Nicosia, and 1 each in Paphos, Limassol, Larnaca, and Famagusta.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily on-site support to users of the application
• Assist users with system navigation, processes, and correct usage
• Handle user questions, incidents, and support requests
• Troubleshoot application-related issues and provide timely resolutions
• Escalate technical or complex issues to Datatech’s internal teams and follow up accordingly
• Identify recurring issues and communicate feedback for system improvement
• Support user testing and validation activities when required
• Keep records of support requests, issues, and resolutions
• Maintain effective communication and a positive working relationship with client stakeholders

Requirements

• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
• Basic IT knowledge and familiarity with business applications
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to understand and explain system-related issues clearly to users
• Comfortable working on-site at a client location on a full-time basis
• Good organisational skills
• Previous experience in application support, IT support, or customer support will be considered an advantage

Benefits

• Starting annual gross salary €16.900, increasing to €18.200 upon completion of one year of service and to €19.500 upon completion of two years of service
• 21 days annual leave
• Full-time, on-site role at the client’s premises (3-year contract)
• Working hours from Monday to Friday, 07:30 to 16:00 (30 min break)
