Accountant – Bookkeeper

Ratarious Management, one of the leading consulting firms operating in Cyprus and across 104 countries, is seeking an Accountant – Bookkeeper in Pafos to support our client’s financial department. This role is ideal for experienced accounting professionals with strong knowledge of bookkeeping, VAT, payroll, and financial reporting, especially within the construction or real estate development sectors.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and issue financial documents such as invoices, receipts, bills, and credit notes.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, including purchase orders and subcontractor payments.
• Handle payroll accurately in compliance with Cyprus regulations.
• Perform bank reconciliations, verify deposits, and ensure account balance accuracy.
• Record and update transactions in accounting software.
• Manage business expenses and petty cash.
• Prepare financial reports for senior management.
• Coordinate with auditors and assist in audits.
• Verify and correct discrepancies in financial statements.
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Facilitate communication between accounting and other departments.
• Contribute to the implementation of new accounting systems.
• Apply accounting practices specific to construction and development projects.

Qualification Requirements

• 3–5 years of proven experience in accounting, preferably in construction or real estate development.
• Recognized qualification such as LCCI Higher, ACA, or ACCA.
• Strong knowledge of Cyprus VAT, payroll legislation, and IFRS standards.
• Proficiency in accounting software and excellent Excel skills.
• Fluency in Greek and English (written and spoken).
• Ability to work independently with accuracy, detail, and reliability.
• Team-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
• Experience in project-based or completion-stage accounting is an advantage.
• Familiarity with digital systems and openness to participate in software implementations.
