RTD Talos

Development Organisation Talos is a private initiative which was founded in September in 2000 and registered as a limited liability company with the name RTD Talos Ltd. Talos was founded in a period in which the global economic environment had transmuted into a new economy and the Cypriot companies, especially the SMEs, faced extremely serious competitiveness problems. At the same time the Cypriot government initially found itself confronted the challenges of the alignment with the acquis communautaire, then the implementation of the development policy in the framework of the wider European effort.

From its foundation, Talos has gone through a dynamic growth and it soon became acknowledged as one of the credible associates in consulting market in Cyprus. The management of the company identified the needs of interconnecting the Cypriot economy with the wider European market early on and placed great emphasis on the evaluation of the prospects that were opened by the full integration of Cyprus in the European Union.

The company Talos with its personnel constituted from a group of young scientists develop a full range of support and technical advisory services for:

• The Cypriot government in the field of regional and rural development, research, innovation, industrial development, tourism development and SMEs.

• The Cypriot enterprises with particular emphasis on issues relating to strategy, innovation and technological development.

The purpose of the Talos effort, is to help the Cypriot enterprises in order to:

• utilize the opportunities that their integration in the European Union provides for them

• enlarge their market

• strengthen their existing infrastructure

• to improve their entrepreneurial ability

• reduce the costs of their project management

• reinforce their competitiveness

• enhance the quality of their services and/or their products

• to acquire a greater orientation towards the demands of the united European market
