About Us
The Department of Environment – Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment is, as of December 15th 2015, the coordinating beneficiary of the project “Cyprus Capacity Building for LIFE – Cyclamen” LIFE14 CAP/CY/000006. The project aims at increasing Cyprus’s LIFE Programme performing levels in terms of both numbers and quality of proposals.
The LIFE Programme is the EU’s funding instrument for the environment and climate action. The general objective of LIFE is to contribute to the implementation, updating and development of EU environmental and climate policy and legislation by co-financing projects with European added value.
The LIFE Programme is structured in two sub-programmes: the sub-programme for environment and the sub-programme for climate action.
The sub-programme for environment covers three priority areas:
• LIFE Environment and Resource Efficiency
• LIFE Nature and Biodiversity
• LIFE Environmental Governance and Information
The sub-programme for climate action covers three priority areas:
• LIFE Climate Change Mitigation
• LIFE Climate Change Adaptation
• LIFE Climate Governance and Information
LIFE Cyclamen is the Cypriot LIFE National Contact Point and it can help applicants with:
• Support during submission
• Counseling during a project’s lifetime
• One-to-one guidance and consultation
• Workshops and seminars
• Networking
• Partner search
The personnel of your National Contact Point is fully committed to the Cyclamen project and is there to support you with their expertise. The Cyclamen team is comprised of the following experts:
