The Limassol Passengers Transport Company (EMEL) was formed, through the integration of the urban and rural bus operators, into a district bus company. It was the outcome of a Government policy in 2009 and the subsequent law that was passed through parliament. EMEL commenced its transport operation on July 5th 2010. Our vision is to elevate and transform intercity bus transportation in order to make Limassol a more functionable and sustainable city to live.

EMEL Bus Fleets are easy to use, comfortable, fast, economic and serve the needs of the citizens and visitors of Limassol. The ultimate goal is to serve in such a way that will ultimately limit the use of private vehicles and reduce circulatory congestion and pollution.
