Prodromos Hadjikyriakos & Son Ltd®, a family owned company, was started in 1968 in Nicosia, Cyprus by Prodromos Hadjikyriakos at the age of 20. At the early stage, the founder recognized the importance of quality, functionality & good price and this visionary approach laid the groundwork for what Prodromos Hadjikyriakos & Son® stands for today.
TIMELINE
In 1960, Prodromos at the age of 12 left his home at Agios Ioannis village at Pitsilia for a search of a better life because of extreme poverty conditions.
In 1968, Prodromos opened his first store at Ermou Street in Nicosia to sell everything from swing needles to kitchen and home products.
In 1974, Prodromos lost everything from the Turkish invasion in Cyprus and the Turkish occupation, but re open another shop the same year at Nikis Avenue in Nicosia with his wife Elli.
In 1994, Andreas & Maria Hadjikyriakou started working in the company after finishing their studies abroad.
In 1996, the opening of Prodromos Hadjikyriakos & Son, Super shop at Latsia marked another milestone in Prodromos® history. This impressive shop was created, not only to perfectly showcase the large variety of 2,000,000 products but to embody Prodromos®’s growing expansion in to new product lines.
In 2000, the family opened a fully automated distribution & warehouse facilities at Geri for their wholesale & distribution needs.
Today Prodromos Hadjikyriakos & Son Ltd ® offers its customers everything from the latest coffee and tea making products to tabletops, kitchen, garden storage, textiles, and home, garden,office and HVAC products.
The Prodromos Hadjikyriakos & Son® Group is a 100% family-owned business. Today, it is owned & run by Andreas and Maria Hadjikyriakou, son and daughter of the founders Prodromos & Elli Hadjikyriakos.
