National Betting Authority

The National Betting Authority (NBA) is the body responsible for the regulation, supervision and control of betting activities which are carried out within the territory of the Republic of Cyprus. The sphere of the Authority’s competence primarily includes the granting of licenses to Class A or Class B bookmakers and to authorized agents, the carrying out of controls, the general supervision of licence holders, as well as the preparation and issuing of directives for the better implementation of the Law.

Η Εθνική Αρχή Στοιχημάτων είναι αρμόδια για τη ρύθμιση, την εποπτεία και τον έλεγχο της στοιχηματικής δραστηριότητας που διεξάγεται εντός της επικράτειας της Κυπριακής Δημοκρατίας. Στη σφαίρα των αρμοδιοτήτων της Αρχής εμπίπτουν κυρίως η χορήγηση των αδειών αποδέκτη Κλάσης Α ή Β και των εξουσιοδοτημένων αντιπροσώπων, η διενέργεια ελέγχων, η γενική εποπτεία των κατόχων άδειας, καθώς επίσης και η σύνταξη και έκδοση οδηγιών για την καλύτερη εφαρμογή του Νόμου.
