Prodromou & Makriyiannis Insurance Underwriting Agencies & Consultants Ltd carries a wealth of experience and years of successful representation of international insurers and brokers in Cyprus, focusing on high quality service combined with top security for clients.

P&M was formed through the merger of the operations of PUA (Prodromou Underwriting Agency) – established in 1969 and one of the first agencies to hold Binding Authorities from Lloyd’s – with JMS (John Makriyiannis Insurance Agency), established in the late 1940’s as a partnership (Company Registered in 1976) to represent the Gresham of the Legal & General group and Ecclesiastical Insurance.

PUA and JMS joined forces in 2008 forming Prodromou & Makriyiannis, one of the largest insurance agency firms on the island, bringing together 60 solid years of dedicated service to the industry, servicing both our clients and the insurers we represent through meticulous underwriting and strong management.

We are Lloyd’s Coverholders currently operating several Binding Authorities, and appointed agents for other European Insurers and International brokers.

We offer insurance cover ranging from simple private lines and commercial insurance products (motor, property, accident, medical, liability, professional indemnity, D&O, marine, aviation) to customised insurance solutions and risk management.

Our clientele includes private consumers buying motor and home insurance, businesses insuring fleets and operations, commercial airline companies insuring their airplanes, media companies insuring their equipment around the world, as well as government terrestrial, marine and aviation risks. Our clientele also includes local insurers for whom we place reinsurance, as well as some 300 European insurers who appoint us as their claims handling office for Cyprus. We also offer services outside Cyprus, both directly and indirectly (via Associates).
