Accountant

Job Overview

We are helping a well-established professional services firm expand their accounting team with an Accountant based in Larnaca.
This role is focused on providing high-quality accounting, financial reporting, and compliance services to a portfolio of local and international clients. You will prepare financial statements, support VAT and tax compliance, and ensure accurate financial information in line with professional standards. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a client-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate accounting records and bookkeeping
• Prepare financial statements and management accounts
• Support VAT and tax compliance activities
• Ensure timely statutory reporting
• Work with accounting software to process transactions and reports
• Assist with audit preparation and other compliance tasks
• Liaise with internal teams and external clients as required

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Experience in accounting, audit, or professional services will be considered an advantage
• Knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting standards
• Experience preparing financial statements and management accounts
• Familiarity with VAT compliance and statutory reporting
• Experience with accounting software
• Strong MS Excel skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
• Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail
• High level of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality

Good to Have

• ACCA / ACA qualification or progress toward certification
• Exposure to multi-client or professional services environments
• Experience working with international clients
