Seeking a Junior AWS DevOps Engineer with strong fundamentals in cloud and DevOps, basic hands-on experience, and a strong motivation to grow in cloud engineering and automation. This role is ideal for recent graduates or early-career engineers looking for structured learning and hands-on exposure to AWS-based DevOps environments.
This role focuses on supporting the design, automation, and operation of cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and containerized applications. You will collaborate with development and IT teams, follow SDLC best practices, and gain practical experience with AWS services, automation scripting, and infrastructure-as-code tools.
Responsibilities
Assist in deploying and maintaining AWS cloud infrastructure under guidance
Support CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, DroneCI, or similar tools
Develop and maintain basic automation scripts (Python, Go, Groovy, Bash)
Work with containerized applications using Docker
Assist with Kubernetes deployments and basic cluster operations
Support Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or CloudFormation
Assist with configuration management using Ansible, Puppet, or similar tools
Perform basic Linux administration and troubleshooting
Collaborate with development and IT teams following SDLC best practices
Document configurations, procedures, and automation workflows
Requirements
Graduate or up to 1–2 years of relevant experience
Basic Linux system administration and command-line usage
Basic programming or scripting knowledge in Python, Go, or Groovy
Understanding of DevOps principles and CI/CD concepts
Familiarity with version control tools such as Git
Exposure to CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, DroneCI, or similar
Basic knowledge of AWS services and cloud architectures
Basic networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, subnets, and security groups
Fundamental understanding of Docker and containerized applications
Good to have
Introductory knowledge of Kubernetes, including pods, services, and deployments
Basic familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
Introductory knowledge of configuration management tools such as Ansible or Puppet
AWS Cloud Practitioner or other entry-level cloud certification
Personal labs, GitHub repositories, or university projects related to DevOps or cloud
Exposure to monitoring or logging tools
