IT Technician

Job Overview

We are seeking an IT Technician (Level 1–2) with strong fundamentals in IT support, user assistance, and basic cloud administration. This role is ideal for a recent graduate or a professional with 1–2 years of hands-on experience in IT support or a helpdesk environment.
The position focuses on providing first- and second-line technical support to internal users, managing endpoints and access, supporting basic cloud infrastructure, and resolving issues in line with established IT policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

End-User Support (Level 1–2)

• Provide first-line technical support for laptops, operating systems, and standard business applications
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues
• Track, document, and resolve support tickets within agreed timelines
• Escalate unresolved or complex issues to the Head of IT or external vendors when required

Systems & Access Management

• Create, modify, and disable user accounts and access rights in line with access control procedures
• Assist with employee onboarding and offboarding, including device setup, access provisioning, and asset tracking
• Support basic identity and access management activities

Cloud & Infrastructure Support

• Assist with basic administration of cloud-hosted systems, primarily AWS-based services
• Monitor system alerts and report incidents or anomalies
• Perform routine system checks and maintenance tasks as instructed

Security & Compliance Support

• Adhere to IT security policies and procedures
• Assist with endpoint security tasks, including antivirus checks, patching, and system updates
• Identify and report suspected security incidents immediately
• Maintain accurate IT documentation, asset registers, user guides, and support procedures
• Support audits and compliance-related information requests

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field OR 1–2 years of experience in an IT support or helpdesk role
• Excellent command of the English language, both written and verbal
• Basic knowledge of Windows operating systems (Linux knowledge is an advantage)
• Basic understanding of cloud computing concepts
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 or similar productivity platforms
• Understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, and VPN concepts

Good to Have

• Exposure to AWS or other cloud platforms
• Experience using ticketing systems and maintaining IT documentation
• Awareness of IT security best practices (e.g. OWASP Top 10, ISO 27001)
