On behalf of our client, a long-established shipping Company based in Limassol, we seek to
employee an Accounts Manager.
Key duties and responsibilities:
Responsible for any matter relating to the staff, operations and resources of the accounts department,for all financial transactions of the Company, for preparation of financial reports to management and for adherence to legal requirements.
To monitor and record revenue and expenses
To establish internal controls and implement procedures to ensure efficiency, professionalism, accurate records and reduction of financial risks.
To ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial reports to management.
To meet reporting requirements and deadlines, both internal and external.
To ensure compliance with government requirements and the timely submission of returns as required by the Inland Revenue and the VAT authorities.
To participate in building Company strategy and suggest measures to reduce costs and increase profitability.
To prepare and manage budgets in cooperation with the heads of departments and management
To monitor cash flow and ensure the timely collection of accounts receivable
To review and approve monthly bank reconciliations.
Key Skills/Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics, or holder of LCCI diploma
A minimum of 7 years’ work experience
Good knowledge of computers and IT software
Very good written and verbal Greek and English
Previous work in a shipping/ logistics company (preferred)
Ability to work under pressure
Team player with positive attitude
Willingness to handle routine functions
Adherence to deadlines
Attention to detail
